How is it a “fad”?

High end/high performance vehicles have had dual/quad rear exit exhausts for decades. The Gen 2/3 rear exit dual exhaust look a hell of a lot better than the Gen 1’s side exit exhaust shared with every other F-150 on the road.

I never liked the Gen 1 exhaust. The Lightning looks the best and that quad looks really nice.

I prefer this look. Some say that this is more forgiving than rear exit when offroad.
