Hey guys I purchased my truck slightly used a while back. The guy who owned it before me did something that chemically burn the bumpers, wheel well fenders, and gril.uploadfromtaptalk1353591362819.jpg

I've been Plasti-dipping the fenders and grill over the last few days and now I'm at the bumpers. The question is when doing the bumper do you think I should do the lower silver piece black as well?

That might look cool... I sure like that dull black look of the dip..

If you've never worked with it all I can say is that it's the easiest stuff on earth to use! You can't mess up! And if you do just peel it off and start over. My fenders have been done for 4 days now and the plasti dip has fully dried. You can still peel it off anytime but it's much harder feeling after 3-4 days.

When you do the flares tape about 2" up from the fender flare. Paint your truck along with the flare. Then when you are done "4-5 coats 30 minutes apart" you can peel off the over spray and it separates at the flare joint.

"...do you think I should do the lower silver piece black as well?"

I sure would, and I'd do the skidplate as well.
