You really want the ecoboost v6 instead of the Sierra. it’s way more powerful and has a better track record than the government motors offerings.

Thanks everyone.

Does the dealer do the shock rebuild?

What are some real world fuel efficiency numbers?

I'm going back to the dealer Wednesday. I want to take the Raptor for another drive and have them appraise my Sierra. It will come down to how much they would give me on a trade. I've spent several thousand in the last 2 months for new shocks, tires, and updated radio. I hate to see that all go to waste. The tires have about 300 miles on them. We'll see what happens! Maybe I'll get a sweet deal on trade.

Further proof you should just keep the Sierra.
Does it have the 5.3 or 6.2? We just picked up a Yukon with the 6.2 (has cylinder deactivation) and it has maintained 21.4 mpg.
The v6 raptor here has reports mainly around 14mpg. I think some people have got up to 17mpg though.

Because, after all, most people buy a Raptor for the fuel economy. :manos:

The gen1 owners were obsessed with MPGEEEEESSS for a long time.
The ford Ecoboost is the way to go. it’s more economical in all circumstances, is a better, more efficient power plant, and produces more hp/tq. Plus it has reliability over government motors and the previous generation.
