Thanks! I really appreciate your help! i will test it later tonight so nobody will find out what I am doing, LOL! Like Birdman said, SVT tested our trucks on the mid perch setting, but why does Ford sell the Raptors in the low/bottom perch?? I am just curious.

The short answer is they sell it on the low perch setting to meet DOT front height requirements for pickup trucks. Many would say that Fox left the additional perch settings for us in the aftermarket to discover and adjust once we get them home.

"Supposedly" the Fox shocks were tested and tuned at middle perch and as such the best ride characteristics can be had at middle perch when it comes to the way the triple bypass Fox shocks work over rough stuff at speed.

I thought this rumor to be debunked, when Greg and a few others questioned SVT about them designing the shocks on mid perch?

SVT really probably wouldn't know for sure, you'd have to ask fox to get hard facts on that

Since I have nothing better to do than research cool raptor stuff since I am still waiting for my truck, I to am very curious about the facts on the perch settings.

I would love to see something from Fox or Svt about these perch settings. As long as I have the garage clearance I think I have made up my mind to go to mid perch, but I would at least like to know if it is going to void my warranty and if the truck really was designed for the mid perch or not.

Also do most people take the time to re- aim headlights, and if so is there a how to or do I need to have dealer do it?

First, when I did my mid-perch it did lift the front making it more level with the bake, taking the rake out of the truck...net net the perch itself did not really change the overall height..

Second, I did not need to aim my headlights...and I run aftermarket lamps...I am still legal btw...

I believe you need a spring compressor to do it, going to look at renting one and attempting it myself.

So how time consuming is the mid perch adj and what level of difficulty is it

Let me ask YOU a question: Have you even bothered to use the Search function on this forum? There are a bunch of existing threads about this subject so instead of creating another (too late) you could take some time and read them since folks put a lot of info and experience into them.

I did the search for you...

Here's a 2 page thread you just might want to read

Here's a 10 pager you might want to read

At least read the above before you start a new thread about Method wheels or something :mwah1:
