I have the Boatec fenders in the body shop right now getting painted but I am curious as to what everyone is using for a splash shield since the stock ones aren't wide enough. I have seen SDHQ use some sort of black plastic and add it on to the OE splash shield. Anyone know where that kind of material can be purchased?

If I remember correctly, SDHQ quoted me around $400 bucks to make me some splash shields but if they are just plastic extensions of the OE ones, then I am sure I can find some material and make them myself. THe question is, what kind of material and where?

I think Rap has aluminum for his. Brandon at TMX has done something as well but not 100% sure what, but I think its plastic of some sort. Saw another that has the aluminum with mess in areas to let air in and out for heat.

On the splash shields we form an inner fender well extension off the stock one out of aluminum and the use a spray on bed liner material for added protection and looks.

If you are careful, you can cut the stock ones in half and fit them in the stock locations. The make another plastic, or aluminum extension by bending the proper arch and use your choice to mount to the plastic stock piece. I machine screwed mine.

Outlaw Raptor has some aluminum ones for the fiberglass fenders. Call them.
