There is a federal law that makes "spare" tires "different" than that of factory. Even though we have a full size wheel/tire, it still has to follow law.

Who the hell knows. I thought it was something to do with the TMPS being in there and the spare NOT having it so it had to be a different color. I'd research more, but I really don't give a shit.
