Hey guys, just picked up a 2014 White Supercrew. The dealer has 0 idea how to wash vehicles apparently and the black vinyl on the door posts is swirled to hell and looks horrible. It's not as noticable on the paint but on the matte black it really stands out. I removed the vinyl on my 2010 Ram 2500 pretty easily but I wanted to make sure it's easy to pull off with a little heat before I go ******** with it. Anything special I need to know with removing it on a Raptor?

Here is a picture of the scratches from their crappy washing techniques.

That's not vinyl. You could apply some matte black vinyl or pull them off and repainted them but I'm not sure on their removal.

I would have sworn it was vinyl. Didn't realize it was just a plastic cover. I'll have to see if I can get them wrapped or just order a couple new pieces if they are available. Thanks for the help!

Now you got me scared I'm gonna have the dealership clean mine in the next week or so (free) I had a local shop clean her for her first wash and they definitely scratched her up, I plan on wrapping it one day so not too big of a deal but sucked because it was only a week or two old. I've been washing it myself since. Shitheads!

This truck was 860 miles away. We were up for about 26 hours by the time we got to the dealership and were both ready to get the truck and go so I didn't really look the truck over. I didn't expect it to have this many swirl marks in it. I mean that plastic is swirled like crazy so you can imagine what the paint looks like. If I wouldn't have been so tired I would have looked the truck over really good. I wouldn't trust ANYONE with cleaning my truck unless it was a place that does detail jobs on high end cars that comes really recommended. I'm going to be calling the dealer on Monday and letting them know that I am not happy with their cleaning techniques. You would think on a $58,000 truck that they would be a little bit more careful. My truck will end up wrapped as well at some point but I would like it to look decent until then. Oh well I guess.
