I'm wondering if this is the first sign of something serious or just a weird random one-off event to not be concerned about. I hadn't driven the Raptor in about a week. I took it out this afternoon and about 3/4 of a mile from my house on a downhill I was braking for a 90 onto another road. Driving very mellow in "Normal" mode. As I slowed down from about 40 the truck downshifted into a pretty low gear and revved the engine up over 4K. Once I made the corner it seemed normal, and I drove it another 10 miles or so with nothing weird happening. There were no goats in my cab at the time, so I can't blame them. Anybody else experience this?

@FordTechOne I haven't seen you in here in a while. Hopefully you are good.

Did you let the truck warm up before you left? How many miles? Was the hill decent button on? Did you slap the downshift paddle thinking it was a goat's ass?

The normal 30 seconds or so from when it's parked inside my garage. I normally drive really easy for 10 minutes after I leave. It was about 60 today. No hill button and I already was affectionately rubbing my goat's ass, so I know I didn't hit the paddle. It surprised the hell out of me because I was taking it easy on a cold engine and all of a sudden it revved up pretty hard.

My gen 2 did it a handful of times over 4 years, when exiting a highway.

I did about 25k miles a year so your probably good for another while.
