There were (I hope "were") these guys from the Carolinas that would run skip so strong that it would reverberate off the ozone to Calif. Always harping about his #1son, perhaps the FCC got tired of all the complaints and put stop to it.I got caught by one in the late '80's. They were up in a light plane and radioed down to patrol cars. I don't know if they still do that or not?
That's what made me park my cb years ago. Every 2 minutes someone was doing a time check, or a radio check, just to hear themselves talk. What's the #1 son mean? I never heard that one.
Ruined CB for me though most of the Jeep groups ran Channel 16 (4X4) on every adventure. In Fact the first time I heard about Race Radios was on our first trip over the Rubicon Trail.
