Wow, so I guess the saga continues. My truck was at dealer for a month and engineer was involved etc. I was told it was normal. Very interested to know if it is indeed timing chain tensioners etc.

Thank you! 3k in and mine is loud.

I need to take my truck to the dealer either way. I am pretty sure 4th gear is going out.
There is no “4th gear”. The components that are applied in 4th gear are used among others.

If the concern is a hesitation on the 3-4 shift after sitting, that’s a normal characteristic caused by clutch drainback.

It has a rough shift from 3-4 and 4-5 and the rpm’s float mid gear only in 4th

I just created a post in the Gen 3 "Ford Raptor Engine Discussion and Performance Mods" forum, as my 2024 Non-R is doing the same, as well as a much louder squeal as well.

Mine was at the dealership with about 400 miles for the same thing. They replaced the timing tensioner and I am at 1000 miles now and it is doing it again but even worse now. Looks like taking it back in again this week.

Interesting, this is what I figured it would have been after striking out on the rest of it.

How did you get your dealer to agree to crack open the timing? It seems like Ford is advising them to standby for the time being and not attempt repairs.
