Pulley/belt squeak

Small update I did my oil change truck has 1800 miles and I put the full 10 qts in instead of 9.5 and it is 75% better. doesn't show overfull on dipstick but is at the top. I sent the old oil sample out to blackstone to be tested. Hopefully Ford figures this out before my Whipple shows up.

You mean 11.5 qts?

Whatchu talking bout Willis? Why are you using less oil than recommended?

Update. My truck has been at the dealer since the 17th…They replaced the idler pulley which I don’t believe got rid of the noise. They are now replacing the belt tomorrow. I’m not remotely convinced that’s the issue, having seen the belt myself. This whole process has me pretty bummed out.

That's basically where I'm at. Dealer originally replaced tensioner and a couple belts which didn't correct the squeak, now they're thinking idler pulley which we're currently waiting on parts for. Unless it's some weird combination of belts and pulleys it seems that we're still at square one on this issue. I called Ford Customer Service today and they opened a file but won't escalate anything right now because the dealer is currently planning a repair. If the pulley doesn't solve the issue then they will look into it more. When I have more news I'll update, really annoying problem this is.

Update. Replacing idler pulley and belt didn’t solve the issue. I sat and discussed with mechanic for about an hr. He seems determined to figure it out, he was very interested when I brought up the coyote noise issue I had posted about. He is planning on running the truck with Vct solenoids unplugged to see if noise goes away. Needless to say, it doesn’t seem that the fix is as simple as replacing the drive belt accessories etc. We shall see. More frustrating that it took having the truck at dealer since 17th of December to reach no resolution.

Ugh I am super unenthused about the prospect of having timing work done on an engine with 400 miles. I don’t want to spend the foreseeable future trying to chase down new issues that may come up from doing the work.

@Siyx totally understand. I’m going to be talking to ford while pursuing the repair. But given I’m three visits in, last one being ongoing and weeks, I’m not sure I have the time to continue doing this

First post on the forum, tossing my hat in the ring as well. I have the same noise, 23R with 37k miles.
Based on all of this feedback, I'm going to hang tight and keep following this thread before leaving the truck with the dealer for a long period of time.
