@BoostCreep Today I left it there early am with hood up, came back 6 hrs later to start it for him to listen. Prob do the same. It’s been cold here in socal last few days and the noise presented after doing that
Yea, I’m in SoCal too but have noticed on days I work from home and don’t start the truck until later in the morning, it doesn’t do it at all.

What’s next?

I have that squeal/squeak that I've noticed recently, except it doesn't go away. Mine is a 2022 with 35k. Just made an appointment at dealer.

Quick update. Mechanic found a lot of play in the idle pulley above the tensioner and some play in the tensioner. We weren’t able to remove the whole belt, no room without removing other components. I listened to it along with my mechanic, sounds like it’s coming from the idle tensioner pulley. I’m going to take to the dealer on Tuesday to have them figure it out.

+1 for this chirp. ‘24 R, couple hundred miles on the clock, just picked it up last week. Same deal as most of the thread, about 1:30-2min after a true cold start the noise is identical to the videos posted. Goes away after driving. Interested to see what the dealer says at your appointment tomorrow, I’m taking mine in on Wednesday. Really hoping it’s a pulley issue and not solenoids or god forbid phasers or timing chain stuff, I really don’t want to crack into the engine.

Something something Prius…IMG_2572.jpeg

Nice Prius @Siyx. Let’s hope this dealer is better than the last one that said it’s normal haha. Taking to a larger dealer in so cal that sells a lot of raptors. Hoping it’s an easy process. I’m fairly certain it’s pulleys, but what do I know.

I’d urge everyone to call ford corporate and make a case. Sounds silly but the more people filing cases the easier this will be repaired for squeakers in the future.
