About to install ppf with a friend this next week or so on a portion of my truck. Any tips or do's and dont's that i should be aware of? Ive mainly been teaching myself through youtube thus far.

I do high end color change vinyl wraps for a living and I think PPF is a difficulty level above what I do (in some ways). Doing it DIY is totally up to you and is more about what your comfortable with as an end result. If you happen to have a lighter color Raptor, that will help as it won’t show glue lines as much. Also, as stated above, prep the truck properly first. PPF will hide light scratches but anything to serious and you’ll notice it easily. One of the best references (though there is a member fee) is the Wrap Institute. It’s an insane amount of really well filmed videos on color change wraps, commercial wraps, PPF, architectural wraps and even some tint content (and material manufactures and tools too).
