Properly aiming my new fogs

I see you also opted for the extension brackets. Makes installation pretty easy doesn't it (not having to remove the bezels/lenses to get them right-side up)

BTW you can see in this close-up how I have my inner and outter lights aimed down (those are wide cornering, below my low beams cut-off) and the center driving/combo is aimed higher.

Thanks for the close up detailing the difference in light angle. Should I consider changing my pros to the middle position like your setup, or is the order of lights not a big deal?

Same deal, for the same combo of lights. I just made sure the SAE lights I use around town were just below the cutoff of the factory headlights so they weren’t blinding to oncoming traffic. The light dispersion of the fog light lens let’s the light out to the sides and along the road in front. It fills in the headlight gaps nicely.
On the non street legal light I shined it up a bit more, more akin to the hi beam setting and then I tilted them out a bit to really light up the sides when driving off road or on a really dark street with no oncoming traffic.

I used the wall of a nearby school at night to line them up by switching them on and off in series to get everything dialed in. Wasn’t too hard overall.

I did my amber on the inside, my white SAE in the middle and the bright non street legal on the outside. I use the amber a lot around town for a bit more visibility for me and oncoming traffic. Hard to not notice a nice amber LED fog for safety and having it inside ensures people don’t think it’s another high beam or something.

Personal preference. When I run my ambers I didn't want the center lights on, so that's why mine are in the middle. It's honestly personal preference.

 

[Wrong Way]

I’m in the market for the rigid 360s just waiting to see some more pics. Just curious why I don’t see people mounting the lights on the brackets first keeping them loose to adjust. Seems to me it would be easier to assembly on the work bench then under the truck.

It does it make easier. When I did our demo truck I installed the lights onto our bracket first. It is definitely easier that way. Our assembly makes it easy to get things mounted as you can slide the lights out of the way to make room for the mounting holes.

The Rigid 360s are REALLY tight and IMO don't look right. They are so large that they are basically touching each other the whole time in order to get the light through the hole. And even still, some of the light gets blocked by the bumper opening.

You'd be better off with Baja Designs Squadrons or Rigid D-Series lights for the best performance. A round light in the fogs isn't exactly the right setup. Although POSSIBLE it doesn't look right. That's just my opinion though. We could definitely sell you on the 360 lights and our fog kit but I'd much prefer to sell you a good solution then make a quick buck.



You can see how that inner light gets blocked a lot and the lights are just really crammed in there. It'll make it difficult to aim them up/down/left/right as you'll keep hitting the bumper. They'll fit with our CrystaLux brackets which give you a bit more flexibility in how you adjust them. But still.. REALLY cramped.
