I apologize in advance for the wordiness, but Im trying to catch up a little bit.
So i always wished I had started a build thread for my last truck but I never did so I figure i will try to keep one going on my new truck. A few months ago I traded my 2012 blue screw for a 2014 SE Ruby Red Screw. I just turned over 5000 mile yesterday so I'm not too awful far behind in the build. Ill try not to leave out any good details.
I picked her up from reagor ***** ford in plainview texas and the modding starting almost immediately. I ended up swapping all the suspension goodies from the old truck onto the new one before the dealership got to sell the old one. Which turned out to be a mess and a half. But I ended up with a 2014 with 3.0s all around, RPG bump stops, wsi progressive leaf packs, RPG tie rods, 17'' double standards, 35'' red letters, add bumpers front and rear, and a saints delta chase rack.
My first modification was to move up to 37s with boatecs. The guys over at TMX hooked me up and got me in and out really quick. I was running 37 red letters and that is how I went to raptoberfest.
Rosie handled like a dream and I couldn't have been happier. The 37s made a huge difference; however, on a negative note the 37 red letters do not like the mud whatsoever lol. I got tired of the lack of rain grooves with the red letters so i picked up a set of KM2s and in the process Firestone managed to tear up the bead on two of the red letters. I am still in the process of getting that resolved
I ended up knocking a shock reservoir off in the middle of one of the runs at raptoberfest and it got pretty eaten up so the shocks are currently with rpg getting rebuilt and getting upgraded to DSC.
In the last two weeks, I have cut the front and rear frame and dovetailed the truck. I installed a RPG trophy bumper that Corey tabbed for a 40'' and a SVC baja rear with two d2s in it. And that is all about caught up to where she sits now, Im hoping to get the 3.0s back on by the end of this week and be ready for the next run.
Im trying to post pictures, but its having trouble due to there being 50 or so at once so just this one will have to do until tomorrow
