Ok but is something like a suspension bed-cage enough?
Or does the chassis/frame-rails need to be changed
Or does the backend need a full rebuild

The back end has to be built. The links are kind of like taking the rear part of the frame and attaching it with pivot points you wouldn't have the room for this set up on a regular frame. If you wanted to do a bed cage set up with a sprung under you could but you'd have to notch out the frame to allow for the added up travel

Depends on what your needs are, if you need bed space it can be achieved.

My bad I miss spoke.. I guess I didn't understand te question at first. You sir are correct you can keep the bed space. That's what I get for drinking this early
