Now I had this procharger built with straight cut gear and a race blow off valve. Extremely loud. It's Making a clattering sound. I have 8 ounces of supercharger oil in the procharger. So that checks out. If it's normal I'll let it be.

Possible causes belt to tight. My first but I have backed it off already .
Bad bearing from factory?
Belt alignment. Seems on and ok

If this sound is typical from these on the raptor platform I'll give it hell

That does not sound right. Almost sounds like a loose bracket. Or maybe a bearing in the unit. One of my customers had a pro charger. Did not sound like that. I think the straight cut gears would give it more of a whine. Just my opinion.

Getting this insane bearing rattling noise coming from the idler supercharger area. So I have some questions.

Are there any self adjusting tensioners for the procharger kit? Mentioned here.

It seems the ls guys have the same issue. It seems it's the load on the bearings and idlers and the material they are made of may be part of the sound. But he sound is common from what I have been reading.

How much slack do you guys have in your belt between the alternator then the idler that goes to the Ac compressor. I have 3/4 of an inch there. Then from the procharger to the power steering pump I have 3/4". I read anywhere from 1/2"-1" was acceptable. I had about a 1/4" of slack before I back it off this morning.

I'm just overly picky making sure I didn't mess something up so I'm tracing my steps backwards.
