Without a code to help I can't give a real good direction to go. Basically I need more information.

Everyone should own a BlueDriver or similar to read codes. You should be able to at least read your own codes for your own troubleshooting process before you have to rely on a shop or the dealer. They sometimes are not honest and make things up.
