What makes the raptor replacement suspension to King Fox or Icon so much more than the normal f150's and other trucks?

Way more than I can tell you..but..in a nutshell. Dampening, Travel, and just overall performance..you need to give RPG, Outlaw, or SDHQ a call and have them tell you..or maybe someone very educated on the way shocks work will chime in..

Thank you and as you can tell I'm new to this kind of suspension. I'm used to a lift kit with normal shocks

I know that about a raptor but I have just been use to lifted Chevys so I have a bit of a learning curve on these 3.0's and I've also been looking at a set of progressive rate springs from a member on here but I'm waiting on someone else to get them and try them out first

Yeah I was new to it when I first got my truck in 2011. Now from being on this forum 24/7 I learned a ton on suspension, lighting, tires, and just General truck and offroading

One major difference is the fact they they are 3.0's must of your lift kits utilize standard size shocks with just longer travel. Plus your getting external bypass and adjustability for dampening and rebound. Won't get that out of your lift kit

Ahhh but you see Mr Huck....ICON is not just a shock manufacturer as we do suspension lift kits as well on many vehicles.

How about our 7-9" lift kit with 2.5" remote resi coilover and a 2.5" 2 tube Omega bypass secondary shock we make for the Ford Superduty!!!!

I didn't mean to infer that icon only made shocks. I was thinking more along the line of rancho or other typical inexpensive lift kits.
