Has anyone heard if Ford will provide any kind of price protection for 2022 orders that roll into MY 2023? I have a November 3rd, 2021 order with no VIN or build date..

I'd be skeptical of the fact you had an allocation given those dates, despite what you've been told. I would think you should at least have a build date by now regardless of supply constraints.

There was no price protection when my 2021 was changed to a 2022. In fact, there is no "roll over" between year models. It's simply reordered. Now perhaps the dealer will reorder for you, and is calling that a rollover. That's possible.

This is just turning into a collassal failure of epic proportions. When they look back in 25 years this will be a case study on supply chain redundancy needs and production management. Too big to fail though, maybe they can get another bailout from the tax payers.

It already is. Just in time manufacturing has already been heavily scrutinized. Even Toyota, the genesis of lean manufacturing practices in automotive has begun redundant production of vital components.

Regarding bailouts, you must be thinking of GMC.

2021's that rolled into 2022's were not price protected, so it seems unlikely.

No 2021 orders that were rolled into a 22 were price protected that I am aware of.

2023 models will most likely see a $1500 to $3,000 price increase. A base V6 800a Raptor could jump from $72k to $75k.

Got the generic we love you and have no news email last week. Today GM at dealer called and said Ford notified of them to rebuild as a 23 and submit. No price hold of course. Was entered and got Ford 'Confirmation' email immediately. Not that I believe him, but GM said area rep told him '22's that rolled into '23's will get priority (and a higher price of course). Let the BS start all over again...
