My truck is built and at the dealership.
However,
The dealer added around 1,500 to my original agreed upon price because "Ford raised the MSRP price of the truck since I had ordered the truck back in april". According to the dealer, they have no control over this.

Can they do this? Should I be paying 1500 more because "ford raised the price" even though we agreed a lower price when I ordered the truck?

Sounds to me like they are trying to **** you off and run you off so they can sell the truck at msrp plus to some sucker.

I say get the sales manager in an office, call in the local tv investigative reporter and their cameras and get down and dirty. If you put down any money, I believe its a done contract. Now if they dragged their feet and did not order the truck in a timely fashion I say its their fault. I would be fighting it.

I traded in my FX4 and had been waiting 6 weeks for a build date. My trade had been sold. You think I would play this shit. NO WAY. I got lucky and a pre ordered Raptor showed up before my build date. I snatched it up even though it was a $3000 more equipped truck than I ordered.

I think they are screwed. Don't think they can do that.

Do you have a contact? Is it in written? Does the contact say anything about price increases, etc?...

Did you have the previous price in writing? Did it have a stipulation that it was subject to change based on MSRP?

The price of the Raptor went up approx $800 - $900 dollars from the time I ordered in November till I May when I finally got my truck. I canceled first order and had to order from another dealer, that's why it took so long. But confirmation from each dealer said "this is not an invoice". They have no control over price increases from Ford. If it is legit, you will have pay the additional or negotiate a deal. But you need to find out first if it's legit and that should be easy by going to Fords website compared to when you ordered your truck.

Nothing in writing other than credit check. Order was put in march 20th.

There is about 1000-1500 increase in price.

Also, I was never notified of the price change until just now.

My second order was in March and I see about a $500 increase since March until now, but not $1000 to $1500, sounds like a line of BS to me. Go on Fords website and build your truck and compare to your order.

If you think you can get a better deal elsewhere than tell them to kick rocks. If it's still a decent deal then you should take it. Even if you find a better deal you will still have to start the wait all over again.
