93 top-tier premium or bust for my Raptor. On a side note, I had a 9 year GM warranty (6 year extended plus the 3 year initial) on my 2010 ZR1 and that finally ran out at the end of 2019. So, I finally modified her. I did an E85 conversion, pulley (15psi max, +5ish), long-tube headers, and tune. Man, what a difference. Went from 540rwhp stock to 663rwhp and it pulls like a freight train now and sounds like a banshee from hell at full throttle. She certainly loves the corn juice and it's so much fun. It feels like a new car to me again.

I can imagine a full E85 tune on the Raptor would be a total blast too.

If you check the goosetuned thread he just did an E85 Raptor and made just shy of 600hp.

I just got a 2023 Raptor and love it. My question is the tune worth it, does it hurt the truck, warranty void? Do you get better fuel mileage, not that was the reason you buy these trucks but curious.

- Tunes on most FI engines are worth it provided it is a reputable tuner.
- Some would argue it makes it 'safer', but there is increased responsibility on the users end (making sure you're running the right parts for that tune, you're using the right gas, etc)
- If the tune is directly related to the failure, yes it can void the warranty. Ie: your tune will NOT void a warranty claim on suspension assuming that suspension is stock. You tune will void a thrown rod.
- The benefit is a better performing engine with the above caveats. MPG may increase, but likely decrease due to a heavier right foot and bigger smile.

Assuming it's stock, unless you live on the face of the sun, put 87 in it. It'll be fine.

You trying to streetrace your Raptor? Do you really need that extra bit of HP to make it onto the highway? Maybe when it's hot out and the truck is heavily loaded, pulling a trailer in the summer- then go for it. Otherwise you are just being an ocatne snob and literally lighting your money on fire IMO.

Yes, powertrain warrenty is voided by a tune. Mileage will be the same or worse. More power takes more fuel to create in general.

You'll get more power, but the engine will be way closer to the ragged edge. If you "use it" for real work- don't tune it. If it's a toy you drive around unloaded, go for it assuming you can pay for a new engine if it blows.
