just had service 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. i noticed it when i was parking. it was really hard to turn the wheel. also making turns at prairie city, i had some difficulty. but its not all the time..... yet...

Maybe it's just a motivation thing. You just need a tree or fence coming at you to create the want to turn the wheel.

Mine was doing something similar, but more intermittent. Took a second dealer to find the issue. You may want to point them to check this out.

Turns out mine is a bad electric solenoid on the steering rack. Getting a new rack replaced under extended warranty. I would have the dealer look into the electronics on the rack.

So my father has a 2014 fx4 ecoboost and his steering is ridiculously easy at a stop. I noticed my raptor doesn't feel even close. Now that u said the raptor has some electronics involved with the steering (id imagine the same or close to same as fx4) leads me to believe mines out too. I do believe it should be a bit harder due to the footprint of the tire and that's what I attributed it to initially. But gets me thinkin.

The dealer did mention that the posts are about the same for the two trucks. I'd get yours looked at.

That's cause your dad's truck has a servo assist steering.

Yours is hydraulic

just dropped mine at the dealer to get the same issue fixed. Service writer said he's never heard of an issue with the raptor steering. been at that dealer for at least 12 years.

anyhow - low speed steering assist was gone - was hand over hand turning like i was driving a 1960s sedan.

hopefully i get a call soon with a diagnosis.
