Power Steering - Help me decide which direction to go.

I guess I'll start with a bit of background as I'm sure it will make a difference. My truck has 46K on it and is my daily driver. It sees some time on the beach as I live on an island but that is the extent of the off roading. I'm very **** and will be super annoyed by anything that doesn't behave like it came from the factory. The original power steering pump is developing a bit of a whine now, but there hasn't been an effect on feel as far as turning the wheel goes. I'm looking at a few options to fix the issue that vary in price. Below you'll find links to what I'm looking into from cheapest to most expensive. Please weigh in with your experience/opinions while keeping in mind what I use this truck for. I have a full working garage and have built several cars from the bare chassis up so I'll be doing the install.

Option 1)
- Replace the factory pump with another factory pump and add an RPG reservoir - Est cost-$550-600

Option 2)
- Replace the factory pump with another factory pump and add the Icon reservoir along with the stand alone cooler kit. Est Cost $650-700

I feel like if youre not offroading very much, maybe just keep the stock reservoir (and it's filter) when you put a new pump on.

I have the rpg reservoir on mine with a derale cooler similar to the icon kit. I regret not having a high quality filter solution that went on when I first installed it. For me, I see it as the biggest downside to both brands you mentioned but can be easily resolved with some planning

It was my understanding that the lack of fluid capacity of the stock resi was the major cause of most pump failure....am I wrong?
