I know it would be a Band-Aid, but has anyone ever installed something like this? Remote battery disconnect.
Alternator charges fine, just drawing power when not running. Thoughts?

Using that battery disconnect, you would be turning off items that need to be on all the time aa well as the computer memory. Inside lights won't work when you open the door, door locks won't work, emergency flashers, horn, entertaiment computer, emergency alarm, etc.

I went a different route.

12v, 500 amp relay to put inline on the alternator power cable. The relay will be on when the ignition switch is on. That should limp me along until I find someone willing to pull a SC to change an alternator.
