Now that we have had some people in the forum do some amazing things like add the R button to model 2021, update SYNC using FDRS, and swap out their APIM...I'm wondering do you think it would be possible to swap a F-150 BlueCruise equipped APIM into a MY 2021 Raptor 801A with BlueCruise hardware installed?

I’m pretty curious on this, and probably would be a good question over on the gen14 forums OTA section where there are some really knowledgeable people on the workings.

At least my understanding of it is the software does not exist for Raptors, and even if it did Ford would need to allow it to be available in FDRS to update which those are released by VIN. So with just surface level knowledge I would guess the only way would be to switch out almost every module / computer and potentially powertrain to have the brain of a regular BC enabled F-150 in a Raptor. And even then I would guess there could be some major calibration issues or Ford would’ve just released it.

I think this would be incredibly risky even if it was able to be activated with forescan.

Unlike the usual on/off coding done with forescan, which basically takes a basic feature built in and turns it on or off. Ford did not move forward with bluecruise because they couldn’t get the software to work to whatever standard they have with the unique characteristics of the raptor. (Wider track, ride height, engine calibration, etc)

I wouldn’t want to be in a situation hands off the wheel where the software made a mistake because of incomplete or inaccurate calibration.

Exactly my thoughts. There's a reason Ford didn't offer BlueCruise in the Raptors
