They claim, the Socialist state of Kalifornia, will have more tax spenders than tax payers by 2025. Get out while you can.
Lived in that sh*thole state for 10 years.

Good luck to your Tax Prison Term.

Not having to deal with NYC winters and shovel snow is plus for me. Hopefully with everyone leaving i can get better deal on nice house.
I'm originally from California and tried living in New York and it was not for me. The winters are awful, no thanks. I also did not think NYC was cheaper than living in So Cal. The grass is not always greener on the other side, sometime you just have to water yours.

Amazed on how much people hate California. I see people from all over the country in my line of work and they all seem to like California. I personally do not mind if a bunch of people leave. Less traffic....
No place is perfect and California has it's drawbacks like any other place. If you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere.

totally agree...every State does have it's own drawbacks. Already getting murdered with taxes at least get some nice weather out of it in Cali. Been in NYC all my life and ready to ****.

I grew up there. I love the weather and the geography. I got to watch Sacramento systematically put small farmers out of business. My Dad was a small farmer at the time, so I may be biased. What I most hate today is that when the state goes bankrupt, it will be deemed "too big to fail". Too many votes to buy is more like it. Then the rest of us will get to reach into our pockets to pay even more Cali tax. We're already paying Cali tax every time we buy a car. Because the market is so big in Cali, we all get to pay extra for cars that supposedly will save the planet. Meanwhile the average Cali commuter spends two to three hours a day driving... It's just nuts. Oh, and we pay Cali tax for electricity. Since only clean electricity may be generated in Cali, they cover the shortfall by buying out of state, so our rates go up. Everything produced in Cali costs more because of the overhead. It goes on and on, meanwhile California acts like it's butt is dipped in chocolate. Holier than the rest of us poor benighted heathens. More woke, more aware, more compassionate. It's a great place to live if you're rich or if you're poor. So it isn't the rich or the poor that are leaving, and society there gets ever more stratified. Since relatively fewer middle class people live there, it drives the insanity even harder. It's hands-down the worst-run state in the Union. Overspending and under delivering everything they touch. And as a nanny-state, they touch everything. Watching a place that you used to really like go into a death spiral is not pleasant. Knowing that you're going to have to pay to bail them out in the end is frustrating. Like good socialists, they're freeloading on the rest of us. So Cali gets the heat.

Few questions for all the Cali Raptor owners. My team is looking to relocate to Cali, more specifically San Diego. My 2020 Raptor 802a has the "California Emissions System" but I had mod it with CAI and IC. Do I need to uninstall this and put back the stock parts?
Will i pass inspection going forward if i choose to leave the mods in? Should i be aware of any State laws regarding mods in Cali?

I'm in California - I wouldn't worry about it, I have never had a problem. Find the right shop, I ask them straight up what about thses things before handing over keys and the $. The response I have got on my trucks has always been, don't worry about it, if we plug it in and it passes you are good to go.

That’s the tide that turned, now the people with deep pockets are running.

Most likely you'll just have to put the stock intake on to pass the visual inspection during smog. Then i think you will have to get the truck weighed in to have that info for the DMV when you go to register it in California.

Eh, there are good paying jobs everywhere. And if there aren’t, you can make your own and move to wherever you want. California is beautiful, but to put up with everything relating to its politics and economics I’d have to make like 4x the money and they’d have to get really lax on their gun laws. I guess if I ran for Congress there and had side contracts it might work out. Oh, now I get it.

For now, I’ll remain in the more humid, free-ish, flat version.

FYI, to anyone who cites beaches as a reason to move somewhere, take it from someone who has been to many and has lived no farther than 30 minutes from one for his entire life—beaches are overrated. You might be different, but I find everything about it to be a pain. I suppose if I went more frequently and never took anything it MIGHT be ok. In my opinion, unless you have a beach house, it’s a pain to deal with going to the beach. You have to lug all of your crap through like 400 yards of soft sand because 99% of the beaches have no vehicle access. The sand is hot as hell so you still need to have flip flops until a bit past the hard packed sand—so you’re just flinging hot sand all over yourself. Wheels on coolers are useless so you basically just drag them. And then you sit there all day to make it all worth the effort. And if you have kids, multiply that by 2 for each kid.

I know some people who love going (my wife takes the kids during the summer while I’m working) and it is pretty, but I’d rather just have a pool and sit in it under a shade.

I’m just throwing that out there because people always bring that up when I travel about how nice our beaches are and how much Floridians must enjoy it. First, the Gulf is bathwater and second, hardly anyone goes to a beach as frequently as you think you would in your head. It’s like mountains for me. I love going to the mountains because it’s different. But after a week someplace, it’s pretty but it’s not like it was at the start of the trip. The grass is always greener somewhere else.

Before moving to San Diego we looked at many places within the country. Nothing comes close.

The cost of living is higher, but wages are higher too. And if you have a good paying job, you'll love it.

I got my Raptor from out state, no problems with smog, registration, etc.. Just follow the rules, bring all necessary papers to MVD and you'll be fine. I think CA has more Raptors (modded or no) than any other state :)
