damn I live outside Boston so can’t really say I have it much better lol! Taxes def less- but I suppose the weather & access to some nice beaches & ski slopes is a good trade off compared to NYC.....especially nowadays

I travel to Boston quite often prior to second lockdown. One of my best bud lives in Boston. Usually hit up Treehouse brewery and BT Smokehouse on my way up. Sick of the northeast winters.

Many nice parts of NYC and Cali, but NY weather is terrible all over save for a few perfect days. In Cali you just need to stay within 30 miles of the coast. Plenty of sh!tty places here too, like San Bernardino, Riverside, Sacramento, etc.

Both are expensive, crowded, over regulated nanny states, but one has good weather. Slam dunk. I'd live in Bakersfield before I'd live in NYC. And yes, I've been to NYC quite a few times. Sacramento isn't that bad, I lived near there for four years, back in the '70s. It was better than Fresno. Living in Palo Alto was nice, yes, but what a freak show. There, reality is something you see on TV.

NYC and Cali, I'll take Cali every day of the week. NYC is a ********. At least there are some nice parts of Cali.

SD lifer here. Cost of living is ridiculously expensive if your not prepared. Lots of Raptors and a good off road community in East County. The Beaches are great.
Plenty of test stations around that will “pass” you with intakes, stickers do help.

its not only the emissions laws. stupid gun laws , really lax criminal laws, and homeless, graffiti, and pollution. but hey the pay is good. I recommend you make a lot of money here so you can move out fast
