Welcome to CA. Getting ready for high price on everything, mortgage, cost of living, vehicle registration, TAXES, absurd bs regulation on all kind of *****.. Not a business friendly state, Straight up liberal BS here in this state, I wish more conservative people stay in CA or move to CA and one day change the mentality of the damn state.

On the other hand, you'll get nice weather year round (depends on where you will locate), beaches, mountains, variety of foods, cultures. Beautiful state, but our CA governments have their heads up their asses when they run the state.

For your mod parts, most likely not CA legal as we're so freaking strict on clean air.... LOL . Check manufacture website and it'd say if it's CA legal .

Not having to deal with NYC winters and shovel snow is plus for me. Hopefully with everyone leaving i can get better deal on nice house.

damn I live outside Boston so can’t really say I have it much better lol! Taxes def less- but I suppose the weather & access to some nice beaches & ski slopes is a good trade off compared to NYC.....especially nowadays

Ahh too bad. at 7500 miles it's used and just needs tyhe smog check. And no one's leaving. Stats show otherwise. These chumps have no idea.
Wrong on all accounts. More people leaving than entering, you can look up the stats yourself, fairly easy to find as California is one of the top 4 states in terms of exodus. Also for California it isn’t based only on mileage to be considered used. It also needs to be at least 2 years old. If you’ve hit 7500 miles and it’s only 1 year old, still isn’t considered used here. I just bought a vehicle in Texas this past summer and had to get it inspected here and this is what I was told.

Unless you need a smog check to transfer registration, don't worry about it. Unless laws have changed, new cars don't need smog check until 6 years old. Diesel exempt, and AWD don't do exhaust checks on rollers.

Complaints about living in California are usually from those that have no experience or are not prepared to enjoy the benefits of living here. Prices might be a little higher than the flyover states, but there are incomes to support it. There's no place I'd rather call home, but plenty of other nice states and countries to visit.

Lived here my whole life, had a colossal assfull of it all. The if you earn a decent income and/or own a business, the taxes and regulations are enough to make you want to leave.

The smog/inspection will be easy, paying the sales tax bringing in a “new” vehicle you already own is going to suck.

And diesels aren’t smog exempt anymore.

If you count illegal Mexican immigrants, a LOT more people are entering than leaving. If you add drug addicts, I mean the homeless, population is growing even faster. And growth is good, right?

NYC and Cali, I'll take Cali every day of the week. NYC is a ********. At least there are some nice parts of Cali.

Many nice parts of NYC and Cali, but NY weather is terrible all over save for a few perfect days. In Cali you just need to stay within 30 miles of the coast. Plenty of sh!tty places here too, like San Bernardino, Riverside, Sacramento, etc.

Lol yes I suppose that is correct, can’t argue with you there. Also agree with you on NYC, where they are also leaving in droves to Florida.

@TopElement you will still need to smog bringing in a vehicle less than a couple years old and you would also need to smog a vehicle less than 2 years old if you transfer ownership even within the state. You also need to smog a vehicle before a sale if it hasn’t been smogged in the past 90 days. I’ve experienced all of these situations haha
