Possibility of Raptor Production Being Paused?

I apologize in advance as I just pop in here from time to time, so I may have missed it.

I'm sure you guys already know this, but it looks like the trucking blogs are predicting the next-generation F-150 could come as early as MY21. However, I was wondering if anyone here has seen any blog speculation as to whether Ford would pause the Raptor trim for 1-2 years like they did the last time they updated the F-150?

I haven't seen it in writing but that's been the pattern so far. The Gen1 Raptor also came out for the 3rd year of production of the 12th gen F150.

I highly doubt it. It probably won’t be like Jeep either where they were producing the JK and the next gen JL at the same time. In major projects, there’s typically enough delays without artificially adding them in.

The dealers have many gen 2’s to get rid of though..

When you are the only player in the game, it's easy to sit out a few years. Ford was able to do that for Gen 2. If Dodge ever makes the TRX a reality, then Ford would not want to be on the sidelines and lose potential customers.

I just don't know that a hybrid is going to appeal to the masses. Doesn't it feel like hybrids are old news? I mean, hybrids were all rage a decade or so again, and they have waxed in popularity. Does making a new hybrid get people excited?

You also run into the problem that you can't get rid of the weight needed for the gas engine and supporting parts while you add the electric motor and battery. It's not exactly the best of both worlds since you're getting the negatives of both worlds as well, and possibly not being able to do either one all that well in the process?
