Dude. So Sorry.

But I know you well enough that it's highly likely you're bullshitting me. If not, my sincerest condolences. I lost my Mom in January this year.

BTW, I friended you on Facebook last week but you haven't accepted yet.

God I am such an *******. I was just bullshitting. Sorry to hear about your Moms, Madcow. I am so going to hell when I die..... At least Birdman will be there.

PM me your real name so I can accept your FB request. I get a lot of them from randoms and typically ignore them if I don't know who it is... unless it's an attractive female... Then I'm powerless.

Anyhow, I've derailed this thread enough for one day, my apologies to the OP... I'm curious to see if the sledgehammer also alleviates your "popping"

Took the skid plates off. When the bolts were loosened, I could hear the popping...like the skids were relaxing.

Started up the truck and tried to simulate the popping sound with the skids off and could not do it.

I'll be damned...

Anyways, banged up both skids really well...a lot on trails here, but most of this is from the TRR (woohoo).

glad I took them off because it was nasty under there.

Going to go put them back on now. Hopefully the popping is gone.

Thanks again for the advice.

Yep. Skid plates back on and no more popping. Thanks guys!!!! I can see how someone would potentially spend a lot of money to get the diagnosed and 'fixed'.

Now, if I could only get my bumper from Wicked...
