**** poor exhaust tone/sound

Ive never driven a new vehicle that wasn't better than something that has been driven thousands of miles. Brand new bushings, shocks, cab mounts, rack mounts, ball joints, tie rods. It all adds up. Replace all that on a high mileage vehicle and its the same feeling.

Personal opinion coming out of a 14 gen1 and into a gen 2 is the truck is all around a refined machine. I'm sure there are guys on here that have Gen 1s that will run circles around a gen 2, on road and off road but stock for stock my opinion is it's a better truck but I would hope I felt that way seeing its 3 years newer.

True, but I'm not talking about new parts performing better than worn parts, I'm talking about features and refinements. The Sync system is better, Apple Carplay support, multiple USB and AC inverters, better seats, better suspension, better placement of upfitter switches (and more of them), improved tailgate step, auto-open tailgate, inflatable rear seatbelts, larger moonroof, better lighting, ambient lighting, air-conditioned seats, etc..

This is a dumb argument. YES the new raptor is better. It just sounds like a ricer.
Now on the other hand, i would rather have a 2010 raptor than a 2017 dodge rebel or any of the 15 2017 chevy "special ed" trucks most of which are just murder black lol

Let's not forget the V6 weighs quite a bit less than the V8 which is an advantage in several areas of performance.

HK...the weight is negligible to say the least. Don't get me wrong....I own a gen 2 but I think that is the last thing on my list.

Did Ford ever publish the weights of both the 6.2/6 speed combo vs. the 3.5EB/10 speed combo? I've asked about this many times but never got a straight answer.

I still believe that neither is better than the other. Different, yes, but the "betterness" is relative.

I don't know about the weight being negligible. I've driven steel cab F150's with big V8's and to me there is a huge difference between the two from a handling perspective.

The front end of the big engined, steel cab, trucks plow and feel heavy in turns. Whereas the aluminum cab with the smaller engines feel quite nimble in comparison.

Maybe it's just me.

I don't have any published numbers, but when you look at the engines side by each, there is a significant difference in mass.

I agree but attribute some of that feeling to the electric steering assist tech in the new truck along with improved suspension. That's just my take on it. I'll take 500 lbs where I can get it.
