Awesome!

How well do you think those flares would handle some good old fashioned cacti? Desert pinstriping is a fact of life where I run, so if I did something like this whatever I went with would have to be able to take a beating. Do ya think PlastiDip would hold up?

CineSLR did his rims and he takes his ride through car washes and has said the plasti dip is holding up well.

My first plasti dip session on my wheels is finally starting to show its age after about 10k miles with about 6 trips to the auto wash and 4 at the power washer. Mostly its just one of the wheels, so its probably something I did (one was thinner than the others). I did also hit some mud and left it on there too long (too many heat cycles I'm guessing) and that stuck a bit. That said, I was able to use a wheel brush to remove a fair amount of it without damaging the dip. My buddy with a Rubi wants to dip his wheels too so I'll probably re-do mine then and try the flairs as well.

Honestly J,
You don't have much to loose. It would be very easy to remove plasti-dip off the fenders. They are nice and flat compared to wheels...

OK
why not just line-x it and be done permanently? im not understanding the plastidip bandwagon.......

I did it because I didn't know if I would like the black and the cost of a can is like $7. Another reason is because i wanted it flat black and I wanted a smooth texture. Also, I have had mine on my truck for 4000 miles now and have had no problems. To the OP your truck looks awesome!

I plastidip stuff because it works great, when applied properly. It is easier to return to stock, which is great with my short attention span.

Doesn't the decision come down to how you plan to use your truck (heavy offloading vs. pavement queen)?
