Was recently in the Reno area visiting my sister and decided to give my Raptor its first off-road thrashing. So I headed over to the Verdi-Mogul area to try out some of the trails on Peavine Peak.

The main road is 7 miles of gravel that any passenger vehicle could traverse, but I made it my own personal hill climb and probably reached the top before the dust settled at the bottom!:peace: I had an absolute blast and my nephew in the backseat got the ride of his life! There was still snow at the top, somewhere around 8000 ft. elevation, and on the way down, we even found a decent puddle to give the truck its first mudbath... my nephew's favorite part. :waytogo:

All in all it was a great couple of hours in which I got to push every button the Raptor has that governs off road lunacy... can't wait to do it again!!

Cool. I'm heading up to Graeagle and will be in Reno this next weekend. This inspired me to look for some good trails.. was thinking of just ATV riding but my Raptor needs a mud bath too. : )

I'll definitely be back up within the next couple months...I'll be sure to post up when that happens. It'd be great to go out with a local, to find those hidden gems where the Raptor can REALLY cut loose!

I got lucky with that puddle.. the melt is on, but its drying up fast! I wish I had taken a pic once I got to the bottom..all the dust from the drive down, really caked itself onto the truck. It was so bad, that the door "leveled" out the mud on the steps when you opened it and you couldn't even see the step slats. ....I'm still finding mud in some inappropriate places! :ROFLJest:
