I just purchased my 25' Raptor last night actually. Should there be a 1000 mile break-in oil change? Then 5k afterwards with which oil? Sythetic vs semi-synthetic? Any particular brand and weight?

Thanks - James

Intro topics in intro threads and all that.

a 1k mile oil change won’t hurt, you’ll have some initial wear in material floating around you probably don’t want to campaign for a full 10k miles... which you shouldn’t wait for anyway, but that is a whole other discussion. See your owner’s manual; 17’s gave you the option of using semi-synthetic. I have had full synthetic in since the break in oil change. Later model years have gone to full synthetic so I’ve heard.

If you have the money for a Raptor, you have the money to take care of it right, don’t cheap out. Cheating out is for priussies.

Oh... and pictures. or it’s a prius :p
