View attachment 319609Picked up my Lead Foot 800A with Torsen, Tow and Convenience packages and Forged Beadlock wheels today! I flew up from ATL arriving at about 1115 and was on the road headed back by about 2:30 after spending some time with the truck before hitting the road. After 288 miles and about 4 hours and 40 min in the truck on the road, I can say I am really impressed and the Raptor has exceeded my expectations.
It’s really hard to get an idea of what the interior is like from photos, but I was truly impressed by this 800A interior, the materials and amenities. It’s just a comfortable place to be. The truck rode great on the road and I was able to play with the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. The adaptive CC was handy trying to maintain break in driving as you can just change lanes to have it automatically accelerate or decelerate getting behind a slower car.
Acceleration was good and moving it into Sport mode you felt an immediate change in throttle map and transmission response especially below highway speeds. I kept it under 4K rpm, but you could still feel the changes in Sport.
The exhaust is really good especially with the different modes. I won’t be spending any money on an aftermarket replacement. The tech is equally as good and the 12” screen is awesome. I have never found that any brands’ tech operating system could beat BMWs including Porsche and Audi, but I have to tell you I think this Sync 4 is as good if not better especially when combined with such a responsive screen.
Well, enough for now. Another 450 miles to go tomorrow. Here are some of my first pics:
