You would only use that module if your vehicle didn’t have CarPlay from the factory. There is no benefit nor is it any different than CarPlay displayed through sync 3.

So apple CarPlay is gone with this setup.
Is it a Bluetooth connection to your phone or corded like CarPlay? If it is Bluetooth how is the functionality as far as delayed reaction when choosing your next track. I stopped using the Bluetooth connection on my sync cause it was so lethargic.

No, CarPlay is now integrated with this unit along with all oem ford Bluetooth, usb, etc. Sync 3 CarPlay passes through to the Phoenix screen.

Does this need or operate with pac amp pro? My current setup has the amp pro wondering if it will just plug right up. What are the outputs if not?

The gen 3 retains all oem hardware in the dash, acm, apim, etc. the pac amp pro will remain unaffected.
