I haven’t updated anything since I got it fearing it might break something else, seems to work for the most part as is but my main bugs that need to be fixed:

-GPS is flipped 180 degrees in CarPlay and useless (Waze GPS on tablet is fine)
-screen is waaaaay too bright at night especially when using tablet GPS(waze)
-No audio from app eg. YouTube when switching from sync, must go to “Home” first then the app you want

I couldn't find the normal bluetooth settings either.

My audio worked fine (pandora, spotify, sync 3 radio, etc) before I updated the canbus. As soon as I did that, things went wonky.
Was thinking of doing the update again just to see if something didn't take....

On another note, at night the screen is super bright and I have the brightness all the way down. I noticed the maps (google and waze) don't go to night mode maps like they do on my phone (black background instead of white). Anyone know how to make the screen dim more and get the maps to go to night mode?

Wonky GPS update....

Thoughts...

The truck is pointing the wrong way. When parked it’ll geolocation to the correct point.

When moving... the gps goes 180 degrees the wrong way.

We know it’s not the tablet causing interference. It’s coming from the T-harness in some way.

I have a theory...I think two wires in the harness are reversed that’s affecting the compass. DC voltage with flipped positive and negative leads — Making it point upside down.

But which two? I don’t know! I’ve been too busy with work to mess with it. It would take a couple hours to trace it out I think.

If someone wants to fool with it... my hunch is that’s the fix.

I got the same reply from them.
I had specifically asked when the next batch of updates would be released.

Mine indicated it was shipped and so far it went to Georgia, I live in Arizona lol. The text tracking message says: No Authorized Recipient...Marietta GA.
I’m Trying to track it down and see what’s up.
Uhh, think it might have come to me. They sent me 2.... I've got the return auth today. It's going back to Cali.

If anyone needs or wants the ability to reset the Phoenix Radio back to how it was when you got it, below are the instructions and a link to the DropBox files. I have been asking them for the CanBus file to put it back to how it was prior to the simplecanupdate.bin from Feb 26th. So far no luck in getting that one.

this is the reset file. I put the files at the root of the usb drive

here is the link to show how to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_WYdX_uCak

I had lost all sound from anything other than console. Now I have sound back for the apps. Still have issues with steering wheel prev/next forsing the sound to console and changing thru the presets. It also moves between songs on the music app that is running like Spotify but the sound focus is back to console.

If I get the original CanBus files I will post them as soon as I get them.

I believe they supplied a new longer wire to replace that one that came with the Phoenix radio. That may be the stock one that is not used anymore.

I had the same issue and did a hard reset and multiple reboots to no avail. I noticed that even after doing these resets/reboots, all of the apps I had recently opened prior to rebooting were still listed in the recent apps section. I force closed each app including console and that resolved the no sound issue.
