Usually yes I do but not with the truck - at least in CA we get commercial license plates that allow us to park in certain areas (yellow zone, commercial loading). You don't get that right with a personalized plate IIRC.

Nope - every pickup (at least here in CA) is issued a commercial plate - You can spot them as they have 6 numbers and only one letter. Here is the rub; you are correct, it is designated as a commercial vehicle no matter what (again, at least here in CA) but the parking enforcement officers give no *****. They will ticket you if you don't have the proper plate and you park in a designated commercial zone.I did not know this. I knew that it is classified commercial due to the width, but it never occurred to me that this potential upside came with this designation. I have a personalized plate on order, but I'm going to give this some thought. Are the commercial plates/registration more expensive?
