Usually yes I do but not with the truck - at least in CA we get commercial license plates that allow us to park in certain areas (yellow zone, commercial loading). You don't get that right with a personalized plate IIRC.

I did not know this. I knew that it is classified commercial due to the width, but it never occurred to me that this potential upside came with this designation. I have a personalized plate on order, but I'm going to give this some thought. Are the commercial plates/registration more expensive?

Nope - every pickup (at least here in CA) is issued a commercial plate - You can spot them as they have 6 numbers and only one letter. Here is the rub; you are correct, it is designated as a commercial vehicle no matter what (again, at least here in CA) but the parking enforcement officers give no *****. They will ticket you if you don't have the proper plate and you park in a designated commercial zone.

Normally never look at attracting attention to myself. Just not built that way, not narcissistic or attention ho. But, the decision to get a raptor boiled down to a ton of positives and the negatives were:
Cost
Width
(Gas mileage)
Anonymity.

Since it is my signature brand vehicle, will also brand the license plate and add a small logo to a window for youtube vids and for blog pics. Anonymity be damned.

In every parking lot or line up, amazing how many people come up and ask questions, give compliments etc. You'd think I had a baby unicorn on a sparkle dust leash.

I've had this plate for about 20 years. Fan of the simplicity and the design.IMG_8797 2.jpg

just sent in the order from some, first time for everything. In Pennsylvania you have to put down three choices of what you want and hope you get it. They just cashed the check so I am getting something..
