Performance SUV -> Raptor

I think I’d be looking at an Escalade over a Navigator, and I’m not a GM guy at all.

Escalades have always looked cheap to me. I'd get a Yukon or even a Tahoe before one but that's just me.

Currently, I’m truckless until my R shows up any day now. Wife has a Q7 prestige. Definitely not even close performance wise to the X5M but space wise yes. Looking at the X7 next for her.

The gen 3 is huge inside. I have two kids in car seats and still have room. Especially with a tonneau cover and bed mat. Perfect road trip vehicle & daily IMO. My family and I have been missing my 37PP truck ever since I sold it. Excited for the new one to get here

I’m trying to swing a deal for a ‘24 R, especially coming from the X5M but so far the dealer isn’t budging on their markup. The regular 24 allocations seem plentiful as of now, so it’s making my mind up for me!

I think a Platinum or Tremor would be a better fit, honestly. You’re coming from an SUV and are buying with kids as a concern. The Rap is a great truck and all, but is somewhat focused toward off-road performance, and frankly, off road feats you’re unlikely to exploit for the extra $$,$$$.$$ About the only thing that the Rap gives up to the standard trucks is towing capacity, but you pay a premium or as we like to call it - “The Raptor Tax”. That extra money would likely be better spent for your use case.

The Raptor has the driving comfort no other truck has and it was my choice mainly for that reason. I was done with the complaints from my wife about the lumber wagon ride quality in the Wrangler that is equivalent to most trucks. I was successful at muting the comments about ride quality but she's unfortunately found many other things to complain about when im driving.
