Like other's have said on here, the Raptor isn't going to handle like the X5M. But there are so many other good things about having a truck, it doesn't really matter. The Raptor feels twice as big (wider, taller, heavier) than a mid-size SUV. I had a Jeep SRT WK2 which is comparable in size and weight to an X5M. No comparison with the truck. I'm really happy to be back in a pickup truck.

My kids are SWIMMING in the back seat. They love it. Dogs love it too because I can fold the back seats up and they have the WHOLE floor. It's great.

The Gen 2/3 Raptors have a larger cab than the Gen 1’s in every dimension, especially the rear seat. Not sure where you’re getting that from.
You can say that, but I don't have nearly as much space in my Gen 3 from the back of the driver seat to the back of the passenger seat as I did in my Gen 1. Might also be the stupid box under the seat that adds to the cramping as well.

I mean it’s not like it’s my opinion lol…the G2/G3 cab is literally bigger in every dimension. Sounds like the issue is the box in your case…

I had a 2011 X5. Then I grew up and got a 2014 F150 Platinum. Then I smartened up and got a 2019 Raptor. This summer I came to my senses and got a 2023 Raptor.

BMWs are fun and all, but I’m way over that part of my life. Now I have a truck that I can use as a truck. And I have a truck that makes loud noises, handles great, has fun off-road, makes me smile every time I get in.

Get the Raptor, don’t look back

I had an X7 M50i for two years and drove it a total of 1300 miles. It had plenty of room and power but I was paranoid to bring it anywhere for fear some **** would damage it. Sold it for what a paid for it and bought a Raptor 6 months later. No looking back at BMW but more so at a large SUV since we need more interior space than bed space.

Left a ‘22 X3m40i into a Gen2.

We had looked at/drove the X5 m50i when we were looking and ended up with the X3 because the X5 just wasn’t that much bigger, the hot-V had a “reputation” and the B58 was amazing.

The Gen2 is HUGE inside and a tonneau gives you a freight car’s worth of cargo room. We just did 11hrs as a family of four adult-size humans. Not one comfort complaint.

It’s not a twisty-mountain road vehicle, but as it turns out, I’m a truck guy…. and hooning a Bimmer around corners with your family inside is just rude. hahahhahaa

That similar to where I'm at. Love the X5M, but I put 20k miles on it already in 13mos and I'm a bit paranoid of getting a flat especially traveling backroads which I do frequently. Add in a 3rd kid and I'm thinking this is the only direction that I'll be happy with. My other boys are both under 8, so we don't quite need a full size SUV yet, hence X7 for my wife, but I think the next stop for her will be a Yukon or similar as they get older.

Your children will get dropped off like bosses by a Raptor. Getting dropped off by a BMW is like an SNL skit gone wrong. That was one more reason for me to dump the BMW.
My son can spot me in that line pretty quick. That might be more than the code orange than the Raptor though.

I'll most likely go for the Navigator once it's updated given nothing else catches my eye at that time.

I think I’d be looking at an Escalade over a Navigator, and I’m not a GM guy at all.
