Performance Oil Filter

Hey, everyone. I remember the Gen2 group mentioning a Ford Performance oil filter that was supposed to be better than the normal one used on our trucks. Is the consensus still the same? Also, does anyhow have the correct part number if so?

I have used K&N oil filters on all my vehicles for 10+ years. That is the only one I trust.

theres also some posts that they dont seal as well and leak.
Motorcraft actually makes some really good filters so id stay with that.

2nd staying with motorcraft. They run it on millions of vehicles so they have some pretty good data.

Well, I was referencing the Ford Performance Motorcraft filters. Unless, those aren’t Motorcraft anymore? Not aftermarket. I believe they are the ones used on the Ford GT.

That’s a valid question…one that has been debated on this forum in the past. There’s nothing wrong using other filters. Use the one you trust.
