I didn’t want to advertise until it’s physically here but I’ll be offering what I’m almost certain is the only drop in spring kit now and it will have Titanium retainers. Springs will be supplied by PAC and they will be good for all motor or boosted applications up to 40lb.

For the porting you are correct, it’s also recommended to keep as much material and strength in the head when going big boost. I’ll be focusing on the valve seat area and the short turn radius as well as blending some areas and smoothing the combustion chamber.

Ya, you are probably on to something. I have seen very little aftermarket support for the 6.2L, but there are a ton of them out there.

Making big progress, degreeing oem cams that have locked phasers, will be comparing those figures to the Livernois Cams and checking valve to valve and piston to valve.

As far as I know, the only real spring kit for the 6.2 is available now. GSC custom titanium retainer (5gram weight savings per spring) and PAC racing beehive spring. Uses oem valve seal and keepers, will require spring shims.

I am a big fan of NA engines and would LOVE to have the $ to get mine to 500 hp or so but this is really interesting. I am digging the detail and precision that goes into this type of build up. Thank you for sharing. As a quick aside, does anyone know what all they did to the "original" Raptor R engine to get their 500 hp? IIRC it was cams, ported throttle body, headers I'm sure??

thanks for following along, I’m not aware of the Raptor R engine build but as far as getting 500whp from the 6.2 just on the motor would require the custom cam and 12.1+ compression ratio. Along with many other variables. It wouldn’t be realistic for street use.
