As has been said it'll allow too much droop travel, which will over-stress all sorts of things if you go with a spacer.

Mid (All years) or Top (2010-2011 only) Will not cause damage at all.

Top on Torsen equipped trucks has been causing all sorts of issues as well.

No reason to do a leveling kit with the adjustable shocks...

I will be surprised if anyone would make a case for a leveling kit vs. perch mod...

Especially not when you can do the perch mod without even pulling the shock off the truck.

I did my mid perch with the shocks on the truck. It was hard but doable. I removed the shocks doing top perch. The time it takes to remove them is well worth it. It's easier and much safer. Then I just took the shocks to ford an had them do it with a real spring compressor. $22. And after having my shocks corroded for 2 years, it took some serious hammering to move the blue SVT ring.

Yeah I took mine off to do it as well. After I did mine I was out at RPG and Jarrett was showing me how you can pull it off without taking them off the truck. I'm still debating going to top perch in the future, so I may give it a shot just to see if I can manage it with them on the truck.

Top perch I awesome! Some complain about the ride but I really didn't feel that much of a change plus it was needed to put 37's on. I did it myself and just used my buddies hydraulic press made it real easy. But I know not everyone had a hydraulic shock press haha
