Maybe they did top perch which would sit higher and ride rougher, but should not see it from mid perch.

With mid perch, only 1 line would be visible below the SVT bracket on the front coilovers correct?

i just got mine done. think the rides a little stiffer but not at all harsh. about an inch short of being perfectly level. but it looks so much better and i feel like im sitting on a freakin throne. my ranger rode like a covered wagon so its still head and shoulders better. first impressions are that im glad i did it

lol nice analogy.

Mid perch issues

Did the mid perch about two weeks ago, had it aligned right afterwards.

Now the truck is so stiff im contemplating on going back. Little bumps in the road and the front end bounces all over, and the normal clunk of every little bump is amplifed to every little crack in the road.

any suggestions before i lower it back down?

That's weird usually you only get that on top perch but even on top it doesn't bounce around all over the place. I'm on top and it's a little stiffer but not what you're describing. How many miles on the truck right now

I have 10.5k on the truck. Did the perch at just over 10.1k.

I did the perch myself, More than capable, and my dad assisted me, long time certifed mechanic.

Only went up one ring perch. Did the adjustment with the springs on the truck.

I should add, that standing on the bumper, i can barley get the front suspension to move, Granted i only weigh 150 pounds, but it should move somewhat.

I'd check your UCA's. you might need to losen the two bolts attached to the shock mount and lower the truck onto the ground just a little so it's about half way through its travel then tighten them to spec. The polyurethane bushings don't move very well so I it's stuck in on position it could
Make it a little stiff or feel weird. Another way to get rid of it is get some aftermarket UCA's. I have RPGs 1.5" race line UCA's with sealed race bearing so it moves real smooth

Raising the spring perch isn't going to change the spring rate. In other words it's not going to affect how "stiff" the suspension is. The only change it makes is to the spring pre load or how it rebounds once compressed.

Birdman, I know that changing the height wont effect the spring rate. That is why im trying to narrow down other possible issues.

Ill check the uca's. Any idea what the spec is for torque for those bolts?

Here's the spec sheet for everything and their torques!

I noticed my bushing were kind if twisted when I did my
Perch mod before I got RPG UCA's so I just loosened them an reset them so the bushing weren't all twisted up it might help a little. I know I noticed a HUGE difference when I put on my UCA's from RPG and my front end dropped about half an inch maybe so it's top perch but not all maxed out the bearings really help the suspension move smooth

Ok, gotcha. I thought you were implying by your statement of the front end not moving when you stood on the bumper being an indication of the springs being stiffer due to mid perch.

the mid perch adjustment will increase the pre-load on the springs (as i already said) which will affect how they rebound over bumps. seems like that would explain your issues, barring anything unusual.

Na, Was a blanket statement of trying to find out what else could be wrong. Ill jack it up tomorrow and check the UCA's, definetly feels like something is binding. Cause there is no movement at all.
