If it's in your budget, it's as good an excuse as any to upgrade UCAs.

Call RPG and see if they have some stock take off UCA... And if they will sell them... They have mine of my 2012 somewhere..

This is a good idea. Also try others like outlaw, sdhq and add. Someone is bound to have a set. Rock and Roll Offroad may have some too.

Well I got it back together. The threads were only screwed at the bottom but looked great once the ball joint was seated. Found a thread file and started working on it and finally got the new nut moving up and down the threads. I'll run it on the streets till I can find a stock one or convince the wife to let get some aftermarket ones.

BTW middle perch and sway bar delete rocks...even if its only on the street for now

I know Corey has a box with all my stock parts in it in the shelf. Not sure if they got thrown in the trash yet. The stock UCA had 11,000 miles no off-road. They weren't even bent yet like on my first truck!!

So yesterday I got off work for jury duty and didn't get picked so I figured I'd do something productive and do the perch mod. Went to parents house for use of tools and got cracking. I'm not new to suspension work, I've installed everything spring kits to air ride so I figured no big deal....I was wrong.

I started with the passenger side and was half way through when my dad shows up and ask if I need help. I told him if he wanted to prep the driver side that'd be great. I was compressing the coils still on the truck and then moving the perch up. He decided he was going to take out the coilover for me cause that would be easier and faster. Then he proceeds to impact the upper ball joint to the point where its no longer moving and tells me we have a problem.

So now I've got my perchs set but now I have a ball joint from hell. I spent the rest of the evening with the air chisel trying to just get the nut off and leave it for the night. So today I retapped to see if it was salvageable but it too far gone.

Anyone know the part # for the driver side upper a arm ball joint?
have you thought about making you dad buy a new one? it was his side that broke right?
