Yeah you can. YMMV on rubbing depending on the tire. Consensus is 37x12.50 BFG ATs fit best as they are smaller by a little. I'm running 37x12.50 Baja TAs with no rubbing on stock wheels.

Sorry for not reading all 156 pages of this topic...but if you go mid perch, and you have the flutter stack mod...is the ride quality similar to bottom perch?

I screwed up and used the box end of a ratcheting wrench and now it's stuck in the the coil. Any suggestions?

Tighten it back down until you can remove the wrench. Might have to tighten both spring compressors to get the job done. BTW, you're not alone. I've done the same thing g.

Tried it 2 dozen times and nothing. Used ratchet straps and breaker bars and tried to move spring to no avail. Just tried to saw the wrench and dulled all my blades. *****.

Well I used the rachet strap in the closed end of the wrench and tightened it as far as I could and it was just enough. Whew. Next side up. Lesson learned.

Done! And I gained almost 2 inches with mod!

Today must be bad luck for people doing this mod. I had a hell of a time.

I ended up removing the entire strut assembly because it turned out to be quicker and easier than fiddling with those damn compressors. Its only three more nuts (strut, tie rod, upper knuckle) and you can get it out.
