Yeah, I agree the shocks "wear in" and get smoother over time. Especially since mine are so new and have about 2k miles on them only. I think part of it also is that we get used to the ride. I rode in it this morning and it already felt better.

Like I stated, absolutely no regrets. I had a buddy's shop do it for $250 including alignment. They took apart the shock assembly, but wrapped the shock body in painter's tape so it wouldn't get scuffed and took their time with it. Very pleased with the results and their efforts. I can't get over how much better the steering is. Taking a corner feels much more solid and responsive. This is really how the Raptor should come from factory.

Agreed, no nose dive and steering response is worth it alone. I drove mine a year before following RPG's video and doing it myself. The difference is night and day in performance and looks.

Can somebody show me a before and after picture of a raptor without mid perch and then one with. I'm wanting to see how big of a difference it is visually.

Search, but visually, it's not a huge difference, but enough to be noticeable for us. My wife didn't realize it, nor did most of the folks at the office. One or two realized at the office, but that's because they're truck guys and know better. I added about 1-1/4" in height at the front, which seems to be about the norm.

The biggest difference you'll notice is the better ride and handling, especially when braking and cornering. The added height was just an additional benefit for me.

You won't regret it...and if you do, you can always go back down. I paid $250 including an alignment. Everything was done within a few hours.

Man, I looked all over the place and I can't find any information on mid-perch, can someone explain it to me??

....I kid, I kid! I have two questions:

1) Has anyone had a dealer or shop do it in the Nashville (I know I can DIY, I don't want to DIY)

2) Is there any impact on mileage? I haven't seen that asked. Since the aero on a Raptor is not great, I suspect there is no impact, just wondering though.

Thanks!

I haven't checked the mileage on any of my vehicles since 1998. I just drive 'em and fill 'em. I reckon there would be an impact, but it would be minimal, less than 0.2mpg if I were a bettin' man.
