That's what my dealership quoted me also. I found a local auto accessories shop that did it for 235 including alignment.

Torque spec is correct. The bolt is steel. It is also advised to replace that bolt and nut, the tie rod nut, upper ball joint nut, and the upper shock absorber mount nuts.

I had mine done at a shop that specializes on trucks while I was at work (They also installed my RPG steering tie rods at this time).
They got a late start.
When I was dropped off at the shop from work they were just stating the first perch adjustment (it was in their spring compressor). While in it looked pretty straight forward.

But putting it back in the truck looked like a pain in the ass. I would not have wanted to mess with that (I would be doing it without another set of hands, which looked like it would be a great help).

I was there while the entire work was done on the other side. That took about 20 minutes. This side went back in easier than the first side.

My bill was 3 hours labor ($70/hr) plus a $70 alignment charge. [included tie rod installation]

Too bad most of you guys aren't closer to me :)

No kidding, he hooked me up with a great deal on mine.

SOCOM, you should go check out those trails over on 163rd, There's an entrance off the 74. If you want the location of the entrance let me know and I'll shoot it over. It's a great place to take the truck out that's nice and close.
