Each harness has 3 wires so if you have backlights, you can power them and if not, you just don't access that wire. Each of our harnesses INCLUDE connector packs to add to lights that don't have connectors and to your switch wires. Well hopefully you are catching on... because we aren't done yet.... I want to emphasize again that the main component harness NAMES are really just suggestions. Just because it says "Light Bar Harness" or "Fog Light Harness" doesn't mean you need to use it for that. It is basically a framework. So for example. Lets say you have a Chase Rack and you want to put a light bar on it. That's way back there. A normal light bar harness isn't long enough on its own... so you can make it whatever you want with our Extensions...
We have extensions for the beginning, to the switches... and at the end, to the lights. You can add an extension to BOTH ENDS on a fog harness, or to a light bar harness... Or Chase Rack or Roof.

So for those guys who want Amber lights and Clear lights all in one harness. Sure, you can use 2 harnesses here... That's one of many options... However, we added our crossover adapter series to allow you to pull a separate connection from the 3rd wire for ONE light and a different one for the Red wire for another (When you don't have backlights on the harness). We also made a set of crossover Adapter Splitters so you can add 2 connections wit separate switches at one junction... This stuff to me is about making solutions for people that make their lives easier for adding stuff. Maintaining quality and exceeding OEM like quality.
I could make it cheaper. Lower quality and throw it out there. But this is a passion for me. Just like all you guys. If I wouldn't use it, I wouldn't offer it. That's why the cheap junk isn't on our site.

When I came up with this, it was a culmination from constantly cutting wires and swapping lights and kits and starting over... I was thinking.. man, there has got to be an easier and quicker way... lol

It’s so I can wire a BD RTL-S (4-wire side) into the factory tail light without having to cut anything or use the trailer plug (don’t want to trigger trailer sensing).

Had your rear kit installed recently w/ the rigid slr narrow spreader lights w/ the red chase halo function, both working good for a couple months & all of a sudden passengers side doesn’t work. Checked all the connections, typically rigid products are very rugged & seems odd the light itself could fail that quick, any ideas?

When you say it doesn't work? Do you mean JUST the white light? just the main light? or both?

So there are a couple ways to narrow it down.
If one side (passenger or driver) works, and the other side doesn't, then you know there is power to them. So that narrows it to the one light or the other.

From there, if just the red backlight doesn't work, its either the white wire/connection, or the light itself.

If the red backlight works, but the main white light doesn't, then its either the connection in the red wire, or the light is defective.

If neither the red nor white lights work on the one side of the truck, but they do on the other. Then it's the black wire/ground connection on the light or maybe... its the light. I stress that because the odds that both lights burned out are extremely slim, unless there is a bunch of water in it.

So going back to "Connection" of the red, white or black wire. What I mean there is the wire coming off the light.
As you know, Rigid doesnt put connectors on those lights. Just bare wires. We provide connectors and pins, but sometimes when installing you may not crimp the pin well, crimp over the insulation and a few strands touch the pin for a short time until they get hot enough and build up a carbon deposit and they stop. Sometimes the pin isnt snapped all the way into the add on connector and it pushes backwards and loses connection, or sometimes the pin is not crimped over the wire tight and the wire pulls out of the pin completely but it may not be out of the connector so you don't see it.

Here is a video on all the ways to crimp the pins, pig tails, etc.
